ALBAWABA - According to the Israeli Broadcasting Services, a missile attack targeted Al Metula town in Israel resulting in the killing of at least five people.
Metula mayor said that among those killed were 4 foreign workers and one Israeli. The missile is believed to have been launched from southern Lebanon.
This attack comes following a report by Axios revealing that U.S. President Joe Biden's senior advisers Amos Hochstein and Brett McGurk will arrive in Israel on Thursday to try to finalize a deal between Israel and Hezbollah to end the war in Lebanon.
According to the report, Hochstein and McGurk are anticipated to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer.
Officials believe that Hezbollah might be willing to cut ties with Hamas in Gaza following a series of major blows the movement faced in the past couple of weeks in Lebanon, including the killing of its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, the Axios report said.
Earlier this week conflicted reports emerged of Hochstein being already in Israel to discuss a solution for the ongoing war, which were later debunked by an X user reportedly belonging to Hochstein later denied the report and said he was still in Washington.
