ALBAWABA - 6 people were killed and one was wounded in an attack on a kindergarten in China's Guangdong province. The victims include one teacher, two parents, and three students.

A spokeswoman for the city government said that a suspect has been arrested and the police launched a full investigation into the incident. The spokeswoman did not offer details surrounding the identities or ages of the victims, nor the weapon used in the attack, which took place in the city of Lianjiang.

Footage of the horrifying attack on the kindergarten has been spreading on the internet, showing the aftermath in the surrounding area with police vehicles surrounding the kindergarten.

The number of mass crimes has been on the rise lately in China, despite strict gun control across the nation. Last August, three people were killed and six others wounded in a knife attack at a kindergarten.

Since April 2018, more than 22 people were killed and 200+ were wounded in a number of brutal attacks, as in recent decades the gap between rich and poor has widened rapidly, and people have been struggling with financial and social circumstances.
