ALBAWABA - Following the horrific massacre in al-Tabin school in Gaza, which killed more than 100 people, officials in Gaza announced that 75 bodies have been identified.
Hundreds of Palestinians were targeted by Israeli forces as they were performing Fajr prayer in Al-Tabi’in school in Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza. The Gaza government media office said more than 100 citizens were killed and dozens injured on Saturday morning after the Israeli forces bombed the al-Tabin school.
Gaza Civil Defence Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal spoke to AFP commenting on the reports. "There are 93 dead in the Al-Tabieen school strike, 75 of them have been identified,".
"The others have not yet been identified because some bodies are torn and charred by the bombardment," Bassal added.
ER doctor, Amjad Aliwa, at Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza City confirmed that 75 bodies of those who lost their lives in the horrific massacre have been identified, while many others had their bodies mutilated due to the severity of the Israeli bombs.
"There are still bodies (whose identities are unknown) that are completely destroyed. There are also some families who have been displaced to the south (of the Gaza Strip) and cannot come to identify their loved ones," He told AFP.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 39,897+ people, with more than 92,152+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
