A team of runners from Abdali Investment and Development Psc, including management and staff, participated in the 2007 14th Dead Sea Ultra Marathon that took place on Friday, April 13. In a move that reaffirms the community centered values which define Abdali Psc and its staff, the company also provided gold sponsorship of the Marathon and formed a team of 15 members to run the 10k race.
The gold sponsorship and the formation of a running team comes in line with Abdali Psc’s long term strategy to tactically heighten its social responsibility and strengthen its relations with the local community. Unquestionably, it is a promising sponsorship for Abdali in what is to be a chain of similar endorsements promoting general social wellbeing and benefiting disadvantaged individuals through fundraising activities that truly affect and change lives for the better.
The Dead Sea Ultra Marathon attracted more than 2000 runners this year, with 450 foreigners from 48 nationalities. The proceeds of the marathon went to the Society for Care of Neurological Patients, which assists needy neurological patients by providing financial help for necessary surgical procedures, as well as increasing awareness about neurological diseases and traumas. So far, the Society has contributed more than 600,000 JDs to the treatment of 940 neurological cases.
