Abu Dhabi Investment House Appoints Industry Veteran as Chief Development and Planning Officer

The newly established financial institution, Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH), today announced the appointment of Abbas Al-Hajj as its Chief Development and Planning Officer as part of infusing new blood into the organization.

Welcoming the new Chief Development and Planning Officer, Mr. Rashad Yousuf Janahi, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Founders committee of ADIH, said the appointment reflected the financial institution’s   strategy to boost its work force with people who are driven by quality, commitment  and excellence.

“Al-Hajj comes from a variegated background and has a proven track record in performance excellence in various assignments during his career. We are confident that he will add value to ADIH by his diligence, commitment and vision,” he said.

Al-Hajj has extensive work experience in the region and has been presented with `The Excellence Award’ by HH the late Amir of Bahrain. In addition, he has bagged the Quality Step Award, among a list of other accolades he has won during his career.

Al-Hajj will be in charge of developing innovative products and scouting for new investment opportunities in line with the mission of ADIH to offer growth-oriented investment instruments linked to the performing sectors of the regional economy.

Commenting on his new role in ADIH, Al-Hajj said: “I am indeed thrilled at joining ADIH which is a new institution will present me with a challenging opportunity to excel and contribute to the growth of the organization.”

Al-Hajj’s career of 25 years includes honing his skills in investment and development in leisure and hospitality industry.

Before joining ADIH he has worked as Managing Director with Rumco Commercial and Industrial Services, Directorate of Tourism in Bahrain, Le Royal Meridien, and for the last two years has served as Chief Hospitality Officer with Dubai Properties (Dubai Holding), among other assignments.

His international qualifications span from NDTC United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States of America.
