The Aspire 2920 series is a lightweight notebook weighing just 2 kilos yet packs a complete set of advanced multimedia features. Its ultra-bright 12.1” widescreen LCD panel (pixel resolution of 1280x800) is managed directly by the Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset with integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 358 MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0, and support for Microsoft DirectX 9 and DirectX 10. Coupled with a battery life of up to 4.5 hours, the Aspire 2920 ensures long-lasting mobile multimedia enjoyment.
This versatile notebook delivers an extraordinary audio-video experience thanks to its Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound speakers that allow listeners to enjoy movies, music and games in vivid surround sound. A richer cinematic experience is achieved thanks to Acer Arcade entertainment suite pre-installed on the Aspire 2920. The Arcade suite integrates Acer CinemaVision and Acer ClearVision, two technologies that minimize picture distortion and enhance image quality.
The Aspire 2920 delivers excellent performance thanks to the advanced Intel Core 2 Duo processor, full wireless connectivity – dual-band quad-mode IEEE 802.11802.11a/b/g/Draft-N a/b/g WiFi Certified solution or Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (dual-band tri-mode 802.11a/b/g) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection – and a complete selection of connectivity options for every kind of connection possibility: Gigabit LAN, optional WPAN (Bluetooth 2.0) and dial up modem.
The ultra-portable Aspire 2920 series gives access to the latest IP-based communication thanks to the integrated Acer Videoconference, a solution that supports VVoIP (Voice and Video over IP) and includes Acer CrystalEye, a CMOS webcam integrated into the top of the LCD display frame, complete with Acer VisageON face-tracking technology and Acer PrimaLite technology. Selected models are also equipped with the Acer Xpress VoIP phone that supports the most common Instant Messaging applications such as Skype, MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. For effective video conferencing, PureZone audio technology supports echo cancellation and noise suppression for crystal clear sound.
All Acer Notebooks are fully compliant with Energy Star. In addition, further power consumption optimization is achieved thanks to Acer QuicCharge, a technology that extends battery life by retaining its charge longer and shortening recharge time.
The Aspire 2920 notebooks come with Microsoft Windows Home Premium / Vista Home Basic preinstalled. Additional installed software includes Acer Empowering Technology, Acer Arcade, Acer Crystal Eye, Acer GridVista, Acer Launch Manager, Acer Video Conference Manager, Adobe Reader, CyberLink PowerProducer, Norton Internet Security, NTI CD-Maker, Microsoft Works 8.5 with Office Home and Student 2007 Trial.
All Acer notebooks come with a standard 1 year Carry In (International travellers warranty - ITW) which can be extended to 3 years’ cover with the Acer Advantage service that also covers accidental damage to the notebook.
