ADC Sponsors 4 Teachers from Abu Ayoub Al Ansari School to Enroll in the CADER High Education Diploma for the 'ICT in Education Program'
ADC, CADER implement this program for the second consecutive year
The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) signed an agreement today with Change-Agent for Arab Development and Education Reform (CADER) for the second consecutive year, to sponsor four teachers from Abu Ayoub Al Asnari School in the old town to enroll in the High Education Diploma for the 'ICT in Education Program,' which was launched by CADER. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Eng. Hosni Abu Ghaida, Chief Commissioner of ASEZA.
The agreement, which falls in line with ADC’s Social Responsibility Program with the objective to achieve sustainable development in the coastal city, aims at enforcing the national efforts in adopting IT in education and providing teachers with the necessary tools and skills to enhance education in Aqaba’s schools, in addition to combining theory with practice in education, to ultimately benefit the students.
Eng. Imad Fakhoury, ADC's CEO, said that this agreement comes as part of ADC’s program to adopt Abu Ayoub Al Ansari School in the old town, which falls under a bigger initiative in line with Her Majesty Queen Rania’s vision to continuously develop the Kingdom’s educational sector. During a visit to the school, Her Majesty was introduced to the various developments that took place and stressed that enhancing the skills of teachers is a priority especially that they play a major role in the educational process and the future of students.
Eng. Ameen Ameen, the General Manager of CADER, said,”The ongoing cooperation between ADC and CADER reflects the commitment to develop and sharpen teachers’ skills in adopting modern educational strategies, which will positively affect the students, and at the end of the day, result in Abu Ayoub Al Ansari school in the old town being a success story that we are all very proud of.”
Eng. Ameen added that the significant success that CADER’s 'ICT in Education Program’ has achieved in terms of developing teachers’ skills, opened doors for further cooperation opportunities with ADC.
