Afghanistan: Suicide bomber attacks NATO convoy, three wounded

A suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into a NATO forces convoy in Bagram district of central Parwan province late on Monday, injuring three Afghan policemen, an official said.

The suicide attack on the coalition forces took place in Qala Nasro area at about 6pm, the Bagram district chief, Abdul Shakoor Qados, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said three policemen escorting the convoy were injured in the blast that damaged a NATO vehicle, but caused no casualties to the international troops.

NATO troops in Afghanistan rejects the clime saying :"We are aware of the media reports. No Resolute Support people, US orotherwise, were hurt in today's IED attack near Bagram Airfield, which targeted an Afghan army vehicle during a partnered patrol."

But a Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said 12 American and five Afghan police were killed in the attack.
