Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that elections are a "national celebration and a public show to materialize lofty aspirations of the Islamic Republic system."
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his signing up the 10th presidential elections candidacy list, Ahmadinejad said elections are the essentional right of Iranian nation. “As servant of the nation and a member of the Iranian society, I will have one vote alike others; I should do my best to have the best choice and take part in the elections,” he said, while calling on the Iranian nation to take part in the elections.
According to IRNA, the 10th presidential elections will be held on June 12.
