The Al Ain soccer team have qualified for the quarterfinals of the 12th Asian Club's Cup Winner's Championship following a 2-0 victory over Al Wahdat of Jordan at Qattara stadium on Friday, reported the Gulf News.
The winners scored their two goals through their Ghanian pro Arther Moses and Ghareeb Harib. Al Wahdat’s new Yugoslavian coach Maxinovic made three successive substitutions in an attempt to thwart a crushing Al Ain victory, but to no avail.
Al Ain are now to face Al Sad of Qatar, who also proceeded to the next phase after beating Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia 3-2. (www.albawaba.com)
