The Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort preview $ 1 billion development at the TDIM event

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and in association with the Abu Dhabi government, the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort will be offering visitors to the Tourism Development Projects & Investment Market (TDIM) a sneak preview of its first of a kind $1 billion unique concept. The TDIM event will take place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEF), Dubai, UAE, on January 20-22, 2008.

For the first time in the region, the TDIM offers a unique exclusive event that focuses on the tourism industry in the Middle East and North Africa.

HE Majid Al Mansouri, Managing Director of Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort  said: “Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort’s’ participation in this event is paramount, since TDIM will present a great platform for us, attracting leading tourism developers, investors and pillars of the industry. This is a great opportunity to preview fundamental aspects of this unique project”.

 

A team of highly qualified experts, designers and specialists are engaged in the the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort which will be a mixed use development firmly rooted in the heritage and culture of Al Ain, designed to create a holistic sense of nature and wildlife experience.

The natural landscape of the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort which resides at the foothills of Jebel Hafeet covers an area of 900 hectares of which more than third will be dedicated to wildlife safaris, offering hiking experience, with diversified animals and plants from different deserts of the world.

“The UAE is growing at an exponential rate, more frequently we are witnessing incredible concepts and developments. The Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort is unique as it builds on the heritage of the UAE, although it is targeted at the mass international and regional market, we believe that the UAE residents will have an affinity with the project” concluded HE Majid Al Mansouri.

Visitors will be able to taste and experience the beautiful wildlife and culture of several regions through the different themed deserts such as: Arabia, Africa, Central Asia, Chilean, Sonora and Australia.

The Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort will be more than a wildlife experience, in fact it is a destination resort integrated within living communities at the heart of the


Oasis city of Al Ain. These communities will provide visitors the choice of a family hotel and luxurious 5-star resort, with convenient access to the stunning themed wildlife parks. Approximately a third of the site will be residential and available for lease or sale.

Moreover, exceptional shops will be nested amongst the resort and the wildlife park offering both visitors and residents a unique shopping experience that provides them with all conveniences and amenities needed, as well as an opportunity to contribute towards and learn more about conservation and biodiversity in our world today.

The development of the Al Ain Wildlife Park & resort will be in phases. The first phase is due for completion by the end of 2010 which will include the Arabian and African Safaris, resort, retail and residential community along with related services.
