Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans held a graduation ceremony to celebrate its beneficiaries' completion of the course titled "Success Skills". The course consisted of 10 weekly sessions, with two separate sessions of the course running simultaneously in both Amman and Irbid to ensure that the maximum number of beneficiaries benefit from the course's valuable content. The course was aimed at helping participants strengthen their communication skills by effectively working in groups. The course also taught those enrolled how to create a positive impact on others, successfully choose a career, write a resume, and conduct an impressive job interview.

"Success Skills" was the first in the series of training courses that Al-Aman Fund offered in cooperation with INJAZ, a Jordanian non-profit organization providing unique courses that focus on entrepreneurship, leadership, problem solving, and social skills. These courses were offered by the Fund in an effort to help its beneficiaries effectively become part of the future Jordanian workforce and contribute efficiently and significantly to the development of the national economy. Samsung, on its part, supported this initiative by awarding the Fund’s beneficiaries, who successfully completed the course, with new mobile handsets.

Commenting on the collaborative efforts made by INJAZ and Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, Executive Director at Al-Aman Fund, Ms. Maha Saqqa said, “Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans is very optimistic about the new partnership it has formed with INJAZ and the positive impact these courses will hopefully have on its beneficiaries. All of these courses address topics that will help prepare our beneficiaries for a future of success and independence and will help materialize the vision of the Fund's founder, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, to secure a better tomorrow for Jordan's orphaned and abandoned youth.”

On the other hand, CEO of INJAZ, Mrs. Deema Bibi, said that this partnership comes in full alignment with INJAZ' mission of empowering Jordanian youth by both inspiring and preparing them to join the job market as capable employees and confident entrepreneurs. "The courses are carefully selected to help the beneficiaries become more competent, engaged and able to contribute effectively to Jordan's economy," Mrs. Bibi added.

Mr. Mohammad Do’ar from Samsung said,” We are thrilled to be taking part in generating further social development in Jordan. We believe that it is imperative that we arm today’s youth with the tools they need to successfully communicate within the corporate world. This is precisely why we made this contribution to the students who have successfully completed the course, for we understand that mobile communications are an indispensable part of today’s technology revolution and we are thus very  proud to be arming Al-Aman Fund’s beneficiaries with the latest from our mobile handset product range”

It is worth mentioning that Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 2006 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. Al-Aman Fund equips orphaned youth, who graduated from orphan care centers at the age of 18, with the education and skills necessary to become successful, self-reliant and productive members of society. This is done by operating five Support Schemes responsive to their needs. The Support Schemes are: Educational Scholarships, Coverage of Living Expenses, Counseling, Apprenticeship & Employment, and Medical Insurance. Those who wish to make a contribution can do so by making donation deposits in the Fund's bank accounts, placing standing orders at their banks to transfer periodic donations to Al-Aman Fund, placing donations in Al-Aman Fund donation boxes, calling the Donations Hotline at 533 0500, or logging onto www.alamanfund.jo .
