Al Diar Siji Hotel targets MICE

Following a boost in the hotel’s business by its meetings & conferences offerings, the five-star Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah, managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels, is set to strengthen its presence with the ADNH stand in this year’s edition of GIBTM (Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition) to be held in Abu Dhabi.

With the decrease in global business travels and room occupancy last year, Al Diar Siji Hotel has shifted its focus and has banked on MICE specially packaged with its food and beverage.

“The result has been good.  We have been busy with conferences, company meetings & trainings, as well as weddings and other functions, thereby giving the hotel’s income a boost,” said Mr. Fouad Melhem, the hotel’s General Manager.

“That is why we will be fully promoting our meetings and conference facilities.  We want more people to be aware that these facilities are available in the Northern Emirates, particularly in Fujairah where conference guests can also get to enjoy the beaches, mountains and other water activities,” added Mr. Shankar Bharadwaj, Director of Sales & Marketing.

A business hotel since inception, Al Diar Siji Hotel offers one of the biggest function halls in the East Coast.  It’s Masafi Ballroom has a capacity of up to 700 guests, while the 104-seater Auditorium is ideal for lectures and film showing.  A dedicated Boardroom, business centre with secretarial services are also available.

Managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels, Al Diar Siji Hotel will be included in the ADNH stand.  One of the Special Hotels of the World, the hotel also boasts of two international certifications: the HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) compliant certificate and the ISO 9001:2000 certification.
