Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) the leading Arabic children’s channel announced the launching of a new programs’ offering to mark the latest and most exclusive grid scheduled to run until June 2008.

This new bouquet puts together a set of innovative programs produced by JCC, inside its state-of-the-art production facilities or outsourced to a number of specialized and reputable Arabic and international production companies, enriching by that its asset of programs that have proven likeability from every household and Arabic family around the world since the channel was first launched in 2005.

With the new programs’ scheduling, JCC has given much dedication to the dear and essential target viewers, the pre-school toddlers, throughout the morning (from 6 am to 1 pm Doha time); giving them the chance to watch and enjoy this range of exclusively produced programs safely while at home.

The new programs offering has prolonged the airing time from 18 to 20 broadcast hours in weekdays and 21 hours on Thursdays and Fridays.

“With this new program line-up 07 – 08 at JCC, we were keen as always to extend our commitment towards our ultimate policy which is to provide an educating and entertaining TV content for children, and maintaining an airing time that suits our viewers in the different time zones”, said Malika Alouane, Director of Marketing and Communications, at Al Jazeera Children’s Channel.

Alouane stressed on the fact that the management team at JCC has always been dedicated towards offering a diverse and appealing TV content to get along with the cultural differences and similarities across the Arab world. This new grid contains programs that consequently arisen from the studies and researches conducted by the channel, and communicates directly with JCC’s wide range of audience varying between educational experts, media specialists, families, and most importantly children.

“The programs and TV series acquired from the Arabic and international companies are always subject to content editing and reformatting, as per JCC’s editorial and content policy and guidelines”, Alouane added.

November 2nd’s grid introduces a number of new programs, most notably is “Bayti Al Arabi”, a major Arabic production in spirit and content that is seeing light after almost three years of production. Not to mention “Tariq Al Najah”, a TV series with a unique and new concept in the way it gives the opportunity for children to personally live the experience and get exposed to the different aspects of a particular profession in a rightful and credible orientation.

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel offers a unique chance for the Arab Children to watch special and exclusive episodes of the globally known Italian circus “Massimo”, produced specifically by the Channel to its viewers, parents and children.

On the other hand, JCC’s most popular competition program, “Ad-Darb” entered a new phase of evolution. The look and terms are modified to spice up the competition taking contestants to the finals on a weekly basis now.

This season, “FAFA” the pre-schoolers’ most loved character on JCC will be joined by a new friend “MOUMOU”; they will both entertain the children throughout the morning and exclusively present to them the latest in animation and cartoons programs, such as “Hadikat Al Marah” (In the Night Garden) being produced by the renowned British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which is achieving very high viewership and preference on children’s channels around the world.

Since the official launch in 2005, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel has maintained commitment to its programs offerings’ policy which depends on developing original content in both its studios and in collaboration with specialized Arabic and international production companies.
