ALBAWABA - The identities of the Israeli detainees set to be released on Saturday as part of the fourth phase of the continuing prisoner exchange under the Gaza ceasefire deal were revealed by Hamas' military arm, Al-Qassam Brigades, on Friday.
The three Israeli inmates scheduled for release are Yarden Bibas, Keith Shmuel Segal, and Ofer Calderon, according to Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Ubaida. He pointed out that all three are classified as elderly or medically fragile people.
According to Israeli Army Radio, which cited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, Tel Aviv has been told that the captives on the list of those who are anticipated to be freed from Gaza are still alive.
Furthermore, according to an unidentified source quoted by Israel's state radio, the Israeli government has approved the list of inmates scheduled for release.
The number and identities of Palestinian detainees who will be released in return for the Israeli hostages are anticipated to be revealed by Israeli officials in the next few hours.
In return for 110 Palestinian captives, Palestinian resistance groups on Thursday freed three Israeli detainees: an elderly man and two female soldiers. Five Thai laborers who had been detained in Gaza were also freed.
More releases are anticipated in the days ahead, and the current prisoner swap is a component of a larger ceasefire deal mediated by foreign mediators.
