In order to meet the needs of the local community, Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile network managed by Orascom Telecom, donated 142 Golden Liras to the Lebanese Association of SOS Children’s Villages.
This initiative comes in line with Alfa’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program (Alfa 4-Life) which aims to support social associations and institutions, working in Lebanon, in their humanitarian causes.
The Golden Liras were handed over officially by Alfa’s Chairman and CEO, Mr. Marwan Hayek, to the President of the association, Mrs. Afifa Arsanios in Alfa’s headquarters in Furn El Chebbak in the presence of the Director of the Lebanese Lottery, Mrs. Najla Hobeish. On this occasion, Mr. Hayek emphasized on “Alfa is fully committed to give back to our Society through supporting Civil Associations in their efforts towards children who are the future of our nation. As a responsible Company, our aim goes beyond delivering only good products and services; we want to contribute in making our country a better place for our children”.
Mrs. Arsanios thanked Alfa for its continuous support for SOS children, adding that “thanks to our combined efforts, each from his position and scope of responsibility, we were able to make a difference in the life of our children. Now they can dream and believe in a brighter tomorrow and promising future”.
