Three individuals, in possession of weapons of war and munitions, were arrested Saturday by the criminal police of Ouargla (800-km southeast of Algiers), said Sunday the province's communication department of the province's Police Department.
The individuals were arrested during a routine patrol of policemen, who suspected an all-terrain vehicle, aboard which they found two Kalashnikov submachine guns and 268 bullets, in addition to nine magazines and a satellite phone, said the source.
Investigations are still going on to shed light on the case, as part of the fight against crime in all its forms and the preservation of citizens' safety, concluded the source.
