During this first visit to Spain, Algeria's Foreign minister, Abdelaziz Belkhadem, has announced that his Spanish peer, Miguel Angel Moratinos, provided "guarantees" on Spain's official position about West Sahara peace plan. Moratinos said Madrid supports West Sahara peace plan, including Sahrawi people's self-determination.
Moratinos conveyed his governments wish to apply James Baker's peace plan, Alkhabar newspaper reported.
Commenting to the Spanish foreign minister's statements, Belkhadem said "I'm glad to find that we have the same way of thinking." (albawaba.com)
