The Algerian Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat has threatened the "Movement for Justice and Democracy in Chad" with retaliation after the latter extradited last week the number two of the Algerian group, Amar Saifi, alias Abderrazak El Para, El Khabar newspaper reported on Monday.

A communique issued by Kettouf Mouloud, alias Abou Yasser Sayaf, member of the information service of the Salafist group, stated "we have learned about the extradition of our Brother Abderrazak Saifi alias Abi Haydara, with pain".

The Salafist group added: "the reaction to that crime will be violent, whatever are the consequences. The only appropriate punishment to the criminals, is slaughtering and killing".
