Algeria's first national workshop on biosphere reserves

The first national workshop on biosphere reserves will be held in Jijel from 18 to 19 September. El Moudjahid reports that the workshop, which was organized by the Algerian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in conjunction with the wilaya of Jijel, aims to form a national development strategy for the biosphere resources. Two main topics of the Workshop are "the evaluation of the Algerian national parks on an international level" and "the creation of a national, even African and Arabic network for biosphere reserves."
