Arab League Secretary General Amre Moussa on Tuesday described terrorism as an "international epidemic," stressing that the Arab world is nowadays suffering from all forms of terrorism against civilians and the innocents.
According to SANA, Mr. Moussa called for taking all measures to combat terrorism on the international level.
In a lecture delivered at the Imperial College in London, the Secretary General conveyed that the Middle East is suffering from severe events in Sudan, Lebanon and Iraq, so the AL called on the parties concerned to adopt the 2002 Arab peace initiative as basis for establishing peace and collective security, end the occupation, establish the Palestinian state and reach a comprehensive peace that includes Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.
The AL Chief indicated that Iraq is one of the founders of the AL, calling for achieving reconciliation among its people and for ending presence of foreign troops there.
