The who’s who of Sweden turned out to celebrate the opening of THE One’s first European showroom. A truly Arabian welcome was provided by Thomas Lundgren, Founder and Managing Director and his partners, Rashid Al Mazroui from the UAE and Shakir Abal Sadeq from Kuwait. Guests were treated to a night of Arabian hospitality with delicious Middle Eastern delicacies, a traditional Shisha tent and belly dancers, which all proved to be a fabulous success!

“Our mission is to save the world from all cheap, mass-produced as well as over-priced home retailers, by becoming the funkiest and sexiest, global home fashion brand. We are proud to bring our brand, born and bred in the United Arab Emirates, to Sweden,” Lundgren states.

THE One first opened in 1996 and today boasts nine showrooms and boutiques across the Middle East and has become a ‘must have’ name in the region. The Stockholm boutique is located in the popular shopping and dining area of Hamngatan and offers over 1,000sqm of retail space including THE Kitchen – a new concept in THE One’s gourmet dining experience.

Each of THE One's showrooms is an inviting, sensual, cosmopolitan mix of ethnic, colonial and contemporary design influences. A magical theatre creating a dramatic cross-cultural meeting point where global ideas flow free, to spark passion and creativity. THE One is dedicated to designing and sourcing exciting and inspiring home fashion from around the world, at unbelievable prices.

Lundgren continued, "At THE One, we go out of our way, so our customers don’t have to. We want to inspire our fans; and annoy and challenge our competitors. The people of Sweden can now explore, touch, smell, and feel the drama of THE Total Home Experience”.
