Arabic Book Fair Set to Sizzle - Leading Chefs Announced

Popular TV chef and author Chef Ramzi, famous for his "Alam Al Sabbah" live television Morning Show, will be appearing at the Arabic Book Fair (London) on Sunday 13 April, 2008 to meet his many fans in London and sign copies of his books.
Chef Ramzi’s book signing has been was facilitated by the announcement that leading light in UK catering, Joudie Kalla, will be the exclusive cater to the Arabic Book Fair. To celebrate these two great culinary names at the event, they will be located in a dedicated area so that gourmands can feast on Joudies’ sumptuous creations while chatting to both her and Chef Ramzi, while he signs copies of his books.
Joudie Kalla, a 30 year old Palestinian Chef based in London, has worked in Gordon Ramsay's restaurant Pengelley's under Ian Pengelley, Daphnes and then Papillon with Head chef David Duverger. She has forged a reputation as one of the country’s top caterers.
Joudie has a diverse range of cooking styles that include British, French, Fusion, Italian, Southern French and Middle-Eastern food, a perfect match for Chef Ramzi’s style, as he also likes to present his views with a broad range of cuisines. Joudie has a team of chefs, with Michelin star experience, who will be creating a feast of delights for visitors to the Arabic Book Fair (Sunday 13 April).
Hailed as the premier Chef in the Arab world, Lebanese Chef Ramzi also trained right here in the UK (studying Culinary Arts at the Bournemouth Institute and London University) before moving to France and training under the auspices of internationally renowned Chef Jean Masson and graduated from his reputed Institute La Minaudière.
Chef Ramzi is a chef of many talents, having also studied Baking and Pastry Arts with the French Chef Bernard Moine and was granted honorary membership in the French syndicate of Baking and Dessert making Arts.
He is probably most known for his famous "Alam Al Sabbah" live television Morning Show program on the Future Television Network, which he has been since 1994. Chef Ramzi has an incredible 3,000+ live shows to his credit.
Venturing into books in 1998, Chef Ramzi wrote the first of a collection of books – all of which have attained record sales figures in the Arab world. His second book was released in August 2001: “Chef Ramzi from the Lebanese Heritage”, which was later translated into French and Portuguese and is waiting to be translated into English, Spanish, Italian. His most recent book (2003), “Chef Ramzi”, gathers international recipes for his fans and displays his diverse culinary skills.
As if live television and books were not enough to keep Chef Ramzi busy, he expanded his work include ready-meals (2001) and in 2003 The Chef Ramzi Magazine, which is reportedly a big success in Lebanon and throughout the Arab world.
All this hard work has not gone unnoticed, and Chef Ramzi appeared on the Express International magazine’s list of the "One Hundred Most Influential" individuals in Lebanon in 2001. Of his other accolades is the high praise he received from Imad el Din Adib, Arab journalist and host of his own talk show "Ala al Hawa" on Orbit TV, who applauded Chef Ramzi's success in raising the Arab cuisine to international standards, and in enhancing the profession of the "Chef", rendering it comparable to the European, and in particular, the French "Chef".
Chef Ramzi has been a guest on BBC Radio and on French radio stations Monte Carlo and Radio France Internationale.

The Arabic Book Fair in London is being organised by Fe Britannia Ltd - formed purely to serve the needs of the event.
The company directors are all of Middle Eastern ethnic origin and this is a key motivator in seeking to fulfil the known needs of the community within the UK. “Mothers seeking to pass on their Arabic language and culture to their children”
