Aramex, one of the world’s total transportation solutions providers, has announced that it is in the final stages of completing Phase II of its cutting-edge logistics centre in Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone, providing a major boost to the company’s supply chain solution capabilities.

In-line with its ambitious expansion plans, the new 10,000 square meter addition is part of a 25,000 square meter mega-facility that is acting as a strategic hub for Aramex’s key markets across the GCC, solidifying its position as a leader within the region’s growing logistics industry.

“We have been at the forefront of growth and innovation in the regional logistics industry, and the new Phase of the Jebel Ali facility is laying the foundation for the future by ensuring the efficient flow of goods, warehousing and distribution for our customers via a central commercial hub,” said Iyad Kamal, Chief Logistics Officer of Aramex.

Supply chain solutions are a key component of Aramex’s overall regional growth strategy, with its Dubai facility offering technologically advanced processes that are responding to their customer’s increasingly sophisticated needs.

Boasting high-level features including a temperature-controlled storage area and an inventory management system with real time visibility of inventory levels, the new facility will significantly improve the services available to customers.

A pioneer in developing and acquiring innovative technology, Aramex helps its clients gain a competitive edge through efficient and transparent supply chain solutions powered by technologies that can be customized to the needs of specific industries.

Already, companies from a range of high-growth industries such as retail, luxury goods, consumer electronics and pharmaceuticals, have opted to outsource their logistics operations to Aramex in order to benefit from both the enhanced expertise and efficiency provided by the Center.

“A key component of our value proposition at Aramex is that we can provide such innovative and highly-customized supply chain solutions to such a diverse range of industries,” added Kamal.

At 10,000 square metre, Phase II is set to add significant additional capacity, and will link through to Aramex’s other key logistics centers in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Aqaba, Amman, Beirut, Cairo and Bahrain.

Recognizing the enormous potential of Dubai as a commercial hub, Aramex has another mega-facility in the works in Dubai Logistic City, another key infrastructure investment that will ensure Aramex remains at the cutting edge of innovation.
