Azerbaijan foils attack targeting Israeli embassy in Baku

ALBAWABA - The Azerbaijani State Security Service announced on Tuesday that it foiled a "terrorist attack" against one of the foreign embassies in the capital, Baku.

At first, Azerbaijan's authorities said that a terrorist attack was foiled against one of the foreign embassies without any further details.

Authorities added on Tuesday that the police have arrested three individuals planning an attack on a foreign embassy in Baku.

According to The Times of Israel, the three attackers, who were arrested, belong to the ISIS terrorist organization and had planned the attack several months ago.

Earlier today, authorities in Azerbaijan said that security forces arrested three people accused of planning an attack on a foreign embassy in Baku on the orders of ISIS-K, the group's Afghan branch.
