Bahrain has submitted its candidacy to join the UN Human Rights Commission, reported the Bahrain Tribune, citing officials as saying.
The sources said that “many countries backed the membership of Bahrain in one of the most prestigious international agencies.”
The decision to back the candidacy stems from the outstanding measures adopted by Bahrain, including the general amnesty, the repeal of the security court and law, political and economic reforms, and the National Charter, said the paper – Albawaba.com
