Bahrain signed Wednesday a 4.5-million-dollar deal with US Pipes and Foundry to increase distribution of drinking water in different Bahraini areas, reported the Gulf Daily.
Under the contract, Bahrain will import steel pipes from the company that will be used to transport water from an Alba desalination plant, which is being constructed in Sitra, said the Daily.
The water will be pumped through a network which will be built by the ministry and is due for completion in 2003 – Albawaba.com
