A joint venture between Bahrain’s Telecom Co. and Saudi Arabia’s Jeraisy Group, is partnering with US e-business software provider, Intershop, to create a hosting platform for businesses to buy and sell goods online, said the Gulf Daily News on Sunday.
The partnership represents Atheer’s expansion from the internet service provision industry to the application service provision sector, said the agency.
Atheer executive director Rashid Al Snan said that his company planned to offer e-business solutions that increased trading efficiencies, reduced costs and improved customer and supplier relationships.
Intershop will supply Atheer with its technology platform and also support it in the implementation, integration and management of the project – Albawaba.com
