The iconic Swiss hotel Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, a favorite with Middle Eastern visitors, is to launch a brand new signature spa this autumn.
This 15,000 square foot spa (with a total of CHF 12 million spent on the new development) will be the first of its kind in Switzerland. It is uniquely designed to offer the Cinq Mondes philosophy, which incorporates ancient health and beauty rituals “Rituels de Beauté du Monde” as well as design elements sourced from Japan, India, North Africa, China and Bali.

Fully equipped with 9 treatment rooms, including a private spa suite (la Suite Félicité à Deux), reserved for couples, friends or anyone wanting a totally private experience; the spa will also feature a “Promenade Pluie Tropicale”, exclusive to Beau-Rivage Palace as well as a range of holistic massage and beauty rituals and a diverse range of day packages.

The Cinq Mondes concept began in Paris with the creation in 2001 of an enormously successful day spa, which has subsequently won the ‘2005 European Spa Award’ for Best Concept and is currently the hottest day spa in Paris. Creator, Jean Louis Poiroux, spent ten years travelling around the world researching treatments from some of the great healing traditions, which provided the inspiration for Cinq Mondes at the Beau-Rivage Palace.

A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the Beau-Rivage Palace has a reputation for being one of Europe’s favourite hotels for the wealthy and famous and has seen the great and the good – from Coco Chanel to Nelson Mandela - pass through its doors.  Situated in 10 acres of parkland on the banks of Lake Geneva, the elegant buildings of the Beau-Rivage Palace have breathtaking views across to the Swiss and French Alps.

The Beau Rivage-Palace and Cinq Mondes offer a unique combination sharing many common values. Both offer a natural location, along with an exquisite attention to detail, authenticity and a respect for tradition. Here guests will experience a sensorial journey of healing and deep relaxation in the ultimate comfort and luxury of the Beau-Rivage Palace.

Holistic treatments on offer include Arômes de Fleurs Japanese Bath Shiatsu, Balinese massage, Ayurvedic hot-sesame oil massage, as well as a host of body and mind balancing treatments for face and body using original blends inspired by ancestral recipes. All cosmetic preparations are tested under dermatological control and contain no silicone, mineral oils, artificial colouring or animal based ingredients.
