Middle East music lovers have the chance to catch up with some of today’s leading jazz artists on a getaway break to Switzerland this month.

The Beau-Rivage Palace, situated on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne, is an ideal location for visitors to the city’s Jazz Onze Plus festival being held from 26 – 30 October.

The festival will cover a wide variety of genres including contemporary and traditional jazz, soul and funk, and will feature performances from a plethora of classical music stars, including Roy Haynes and the Rova Tricontinental Orchestra.

The Beau-Rivage Palace is offering guests a special package of music and relaxation including three nights in a superior or a deluxe room with a lake view, or in a comfort room with a garden view from just CHF 535 ($340) per night, in a double room. The price includes a welcome glass of champagne on arrival, breakfasts, one meal in the brasserie Café Beau-Rivage, and one meal in the French gourmet restaurant La Rotonde.

The hotel will also make festival reservations and lay on transportation to concerts for guests.

Surrounded by acres of private parkland sweeping down to the shores of Lake Geneva, the Beau-Rivage Palace is an oasis of peace and sheer luxury making it an ideal base from which to enjoy the music events. Guests can enjoy use of the hotel’s fitness centre and tennis courts and can also take boat trips on the lake from the nearby quayside.

While the city’s classical music scene has had a major role in establishing Lausanne as Switzerland’s cultural capital, there is a multitude of other things for art lovers to do and see.

With a variety of galleries and museums, including the Olympic Museum, quaint shopping streets with an array of boutiques and cafes, the city is an ideal destination for short and long breaks.
