Hair and makeup were front and centre at The Bride Show Abu Dhabi, showcasing an array of unique products for brides with style, vision and a desire to be distinctive.

Awed by the remarkable products on display, visitors immersed themselves in the latest bridal looks, sampling the most dazzling and decadent cosmetics and found out more about the latest trends in makeup and hair styling seen on the fashion models.

Those who wanted to express their individuality looked no further than Sara Kamkarian Beauty and Fitness, the Dubai-based company and one of the oldest beauty training centres in the UAE.  Their unique body airbrushing services are extremely versatile, from creating a shimmering, golden glow to bold, striking animal stripes, which can go along a woman’s spine, her arms, legs or chest.

The innovative professionals can create any look imaginable for the big day, with the highest level of expertise in skincare, makeup, and hairstyling.  Brides from abroad take advantage of their well-established training centre, learning tips and tricks to perfect their look.

Slightly more subtle but equally show-stopping, Gita Trading’s soft colour cosmetic contact lenses bring radiance to every look, combining brilliant colours with a layer of glitter for extra sparkle.  Most popular with brides-to-be are the sky blue and black varieties, however all of the lenses guarantee standing out from the crowd with an essence of glamour flashing in the eyes.

MAC Cosmetics, the powerful and internationally recognised cosmetics brand, showed off their cutting-edge techniques and the most popular looks as the official make up of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi, with a number of their artists backstage styling the runway models for fashion shows.  Their inspiring looks prompted visitors to swarm stands and recreate looks to find the perfect bridal style.

Meanwhile, the Ana Bella Salon hairstylist team who masterminded the fashion shows staged a demonstration for visitors, delighting onlookers with a tutorial on up-dos, perfect for weddings and other high-end events.

“The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is all about glamour, and what better way to make a woman, especially a bride-to-be, feel her absolute best than with cutting edge hair and make up techniques,” said Daphne Cota, Exhibitions Manager of The Bride Show.  “Visitors have been drawing inspiration from the catwalks with not only the wedding dresses and abayas which are being modelled, but from the hair and make up which is used too”.

The four-day exhibition came to a close on Saturday, combining fashion shows and demonstrations unveiling both traditional and modern bridal looks by a cluster of leading names in the industry.  As many exhibitors – more than 200 from around the world – offered exclusive discounts, and amazing grand prizes from honeymoons to wedding dresses were raffled away, The Bride Show Abu Dhabi was the perfect venue for all women who enjoy fashion and beauty.

The next must-attend event for brides-to-be in the UAE is The Bride Show Dubai, which will take place from 8 to 11 April 2009 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
