Bnet Marrakech (the daughters of Marrakech) will give a concert in Paris within the framework of the fourth World Women Festival, which is scheduled to take place on May 3 to 27 in the Satellit coffee. The group includes five Moroccan women, Aziza Ait Zouin, Halima Chamkhi, Fatima Bakkou, Malika Mahjoubi and Fatima Malih, who have been singing together for 15 years.
<i>EMarrakech</i> reports that the group started performing mainly at religious festivals and traditional events, such as marriages, births, circumcisions, and "Mouled" (festivals in honor of saints of Islam) and that their musical repertoire is based mainly on traditional Berber music and Moroccan folklore.
