Boko Haram fighters from Nigeria beheaded three villagers during a weekend raid in Cameroon, AFP reported Monday.
The attacks occurred on Sunday in the villages of Tchebe-Tchebe and Dzaba, both about ten kilometers from the Nigerian border, a security agent told AFP.
Cameroon has been the scene of a series of violent attacks in the far north of the African country.
The report was confirmed with AFP by another local security source, who said that access to the villages had been restricted to Cameroonian troops because of the mountainous terrain.
