Double-bombing in Baghdad kills 13

Reuters reports that two bombs exploded in Baghdad, killing 13 people and wounding 40 more.

Military sources confirmed that one bomb hit the al-Shaab neighborhood, killing seven people. A separate car bomb exploded in the southern neighborhood al-Rasheed, killing six.

This is the latest in a string of suicide bombings this month. 

On May 11th, a Daesh car bomb in the Shia-majority Sadr City killed over 50 people a marketplace.

Later the same day, two separate car bombs detonated in northern and western neighborhoods of Baghdad, bringing the death toll close to 100. Dozens more were wounded.
