Egyptian military finds EgyptAir wreckage

Egyptian state TV announced that the Egyptian military discovered parts of the EgyptAir plane that went missing on Thursday morning.

"Parts of debris" were found in the Mediterranean, 290km north of Alexandria. Some of the passengers' belongings were also discovered.

Thursday afternoon, Egyptian military found life jackets and plastic, but they did not match those from the EgyptAir flight MS804.

The EgyptAir flight traveling from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar screens after entering Egyptian airspace early on Thursday morning. EgyptAir officials announced that it is suspected the plane crashed into the Mediterranean, killing all 66 onboard. 

Investigations are ongoing.
