British Companies Keen To Establish Operations In Dubai Airport Freezone

British companies operating in various industries have expressed their interest to establish business in Dubai Airport Freezone to approach their target markets in the region.
 The leader of a 15-man strong UK Trade and Investment delegation voiced appreciation at the facilities of the Dubai Airport Freezone.  Mr. Phil Dowrick, Head of the UK Trade & Investment Group which visited the Freezone recently expressed appreciation of the importance of good business opportunities in Dubai.
“The British companies are working to expand marketing activities outside the UK to promote qualitative and competitive products of UK companies,” said Dowrick during the meeting with officials from Dubai Airport Freezone.
Mr. Dowrick added the ”The Trade and Investment –UK is looking for opportunities to invest and develop business in the region using all the infrastructure in the Freezone. Advantages of operating at the Freezone include easy processing of papers when setting up an office, logistics services, cargo, aviation and communication facilities within easy reach of offices at the Freezone.
He also added that Dubai is renowned for being one of the most advanced, efficient and business friendly city in the Middle East. Further, international establishments, investors and decision makers in the UK recognize Dubai as a stable business city.
He also added that there are many British companies already operating very successful businesses from Dubai Airport Freezone. “These success stories will attract other investors from UK to base their regional operations in Dubai Airport Freezone”.
Mr. Dowrick further added that the transparency in the Freezone and the way British companies run profitable hassle free businesses, encouraged visiting investors to consider operating their business in a healthy environment where there are clear trade laws that protect the investors and their interests. “
Mr. Ibrahim Ahli, Director of Marketing at the Dubai Airport Freezone, welcomed the delegation along with Mr. Jamal Marghoob, Deputy Director of Sales. Mr. Ahli said “There are a considerable numbers of UK companies operating at the Freezone and these are major companies with successful business stories. 
Among the European companies at the Freezone,Uk companies make up 34 per cent of the total number of companies from Europe. They operate in different fields and industries that include: aviation, telecommunications, cargo, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.”
Mr. Ahli added, “Our marketing strategies benefit a lot from the UK investments which resulted in increasing marketing visits to the UK. We also participate in international exhibition in the UK to highlight the business opportunities at the Freezone. We focus on major big exhibitions such as Farnborough”.
