Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will leave in 10 days for Washington after being invited by U.S. President George Bush to discuss the situation in the Middle East ahead of a possible U.S. attack on Iraq, Israel Radio reported Saturday morning.

American officials are not pleased with statements made by senior Israeli figures on the expected attack on Iraq, the radio added. The officials expect Israel to refrain from making statements on the issue, the report said.

Earlier this week, Israel's Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said that he expects an American attack on Iraq by late November. "It's possible it will begin toward the end of November," Ben-Eliezer was quoted as saying. (Albawaba.com)
