Computer Associates (CA), one of the world’s largest management software companies, is showcasing its ‘Virtual Enterprise’ at GITEX 2005 being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 25-29 September 2005.  The ‘Virtual Enterprise’ has been constructed on the CA Stand (stand G9-1) in the Sheikh Rashid Hall.

CA’s ‘Virtual Enterprise’ consists of a Network Operations Center (NOC), which is a real-world simulation of an enterprise IT environment that can exist in any large organisation and demonstrates how such environments can be managed efficiently and cost-effectively using CA Technology.  The NOC is made upof seven departments which play different roles within the enterprise environment including IT Security, Network Management, Systems Management, Data Protection, Project Management, Customer Service and Service Management.

“CA’s ‘Virtual Enterprise’ simulates all of the components that make up today’s enterprise IT environment and enables stand visitors to get a real-world glimpse at how CA technology simplifies and automates the management of numerous complexities within such an infrastructure,” said Bjarne Rasmussen, vice president of Technology Services at Computer Associates in the Arab countries and Pakistan.  “Visitors can explore the functions of any of the seven departments individually or view the entire network management function from the view of a chief information officer.  We welcome all visitors to the CA stand to see how CA is helping 98 percent of the Global 1000 companies achieve their business goals.
