ALBAWABA - During ongoing protests in Israel against a contentious judicial reform, an incident occurred where a vehicle plowed into demonstrators, resulting in one person sustaining injuries.

These protests, now in their 36th week, are organized by Israelis who are opposed to the judicial reform led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's far-right coalition government.

The incident transpired in Tel Aviv towards the end of the evening protests, as a group of anti-judicial reform protesters blocked Ayalon Highway, and a driver struck five protesters with their vehicle, causing injury to one person.

A 25 years old woman with minor injuries was taken to Ichilov Hospital. The driver, detained by the police, was subsequently released and claimed they had no intention to harm anyone.

In response, Netanyahu issued a statement condemning all forms of violence and urging restraint and adherence to the law. Some protest groups, like the "Kaplan Square Forces," have accused Netanyahu of incitement and held him responsible for the incident, asserting that "Netanyahu's provocations are influencing individuals and resulting in casualties. His propaganda machine has been in full swing, leading to the car-ramming incident."

These protests have taken place across various Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, and Herzliya, drawing tens of thousands of participants during the 36th week of demonstrations. At the protests' conclusion, dozens of demonstrators blocked Ayalon Highway, a key city thoroughfare, causing traffic disruptions.
