Castrol, the global motor lubes maker, and its Castrol EDGE range has expanded its support to Team Saluki, one of the leading rally teams in the UAE by sponsoring the Team’s newly acquired Buggy Car, increasing its chance of winning the UAE Desert Challenge 2007.
The new sleek black and gold Buggy Car has a number of winning features including independent suspension that will enable Mark Powell, the Team Saluki driver, and co driver, Tim Ansell, to drive faster and harder over the rough Desert Challenge course. In preparation for the Challenge the Buggy Car was put through the most rigorous tests possible so that it could be in tip-top condition for the event. The car testing reflected the stringent series of exhaustive testing Castrol put it Castrol EDGE lube through including the heat test which saw the oil reach a startling 340 degrees C, far hotter than a domestic oven, and still perform.
