After recently announcing their extensive expansion plans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Cellucom has begun implementing the plan with the launch of a new showroom in Riyadh’s Mursalat Street, known as a trading hub for mobile phones of the Central Region. The showroom was inaugurated yesterday (August 24, 2005) by Waleed Bahamdan, vice president of Sara Group.

Cellucom, one of the premier distributors of mobile communication devices and accessories for brands such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, imate and others in the Middle East, marked the day with great offers, gifts and raffle draws for customers.

Apart from the latest range of mobile phones and accessories, the outlet offers value added benefits such as the 30-minute repair guarantee and lifetime warranty. The showroom also has a level-3 service center that can take care of all types of repairs in the least possible time, complementing Cellucom’s Service Efficiency.

“Cellucom has always believed in being at the centre of business activity to gain maximum competitive advantage, and Mursalat Street allows us the opportunity to compete on direct terms with resellers of mobile technology. Being present in a central location was a key factor for us in choosing to open our showroom here”, said Arun Nagar, Managing Director, Cellucom. “Customers will find that our store offers the widest range of mobile phones and accessories, being the authorized distributors of Nokia, Samsung, Imate and Sony Ericsson.”

“Providing the highest quality of customer services and ensuring the availability of products that are in line with current market trends, will continue to remain at the core of Cellucom’s strategy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. “Looking ahead, we see tremendous potential in this market and we will be introducing the concept of MOBILITY SOLUTIONS in the region,” concluded Nagar.

Cellucom has also announced its plans to open fifteen more showrooms and twenty five shop-in-shops (Xpress outlets) in Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks; these will be spread across Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Khobar - to further strengthen its presence in the region. Key locations being Kingdom Mall, Azizia Mall, Rimal Mall, Granada Mall in Riyadh; Tahliya Mall, Philasteen Street, Roshan Mall in Jeddah; Rashid Mall in Khobar and on King. Fahd Road in Dammam.

Meanwhile, Cellucom has been expanding its operations in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the UAE, making it one of the fastest growing mobile retailers in the Middle East carving a niche for themselves in the MOBILITY ARENA.

Cellucom is a global enterprise engaged in the distribution of cellular communication devices and accessories from its base at Dubai Airport Free Zone. Its strategic location in the free zone has given a tremendous push to its exports into the emerging markets of Asia, Europe, Americas and Africa. In addition to its wide dealer network in the Middle East, Cellucom has its own retail stores in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The company also has a base in East Africa.
Through its 'think global, act local' policy the company has fostered regional associations and adopted a global management style. Sourcing directly from the manufacturers of most of the major brands of mobile phones, Cellucom also works closely with many cellular networks providing special packaging with the operator's design and branding conventions.
