The two suspects in the Charlie Hebdo shooting have been killed and their hostage has been freed unharmed according to police.
An armed siege at a Jewish kosher supermarket near Porte de Vincennes in eastern Paris is also over with the hostage taker reportedly killed, but police sources say four of his captives are dead.
The Charlie Hebdo suspects were holed up on an industrial estate in the French town of Dammartin-en-Goele where just before 17.00 local time there were bursts of automatic gunfire and four explosions heard.
At Porte de Vincennes there were five loud explosions heard at about the same time.
The gunman there – named by police as Amedy Coulibaly – is reported to have been killed. He is believed to be the same man who shot dead a policewoman in Montrouge in Paris yesterday.
