Comedy Café attracts a full house on opening day at The Walk at JBR
Comedy Café, an innovative and humorous event organized as part of DSF 2009 activities at The Walk at JBR, opened to a full house as stand-up Arab-American comedians Dean Obeidallah and Aaron Khader took the stage for a two-hour comedy show on Saturday, January 24.
Covering a broad range of topics with a humorous tinge, the show sent audiences into laughter every now and then. As a new event in the DSF itinerary this year, Comedy Café will feature professional stand-up comedians every Saturday and gives amateur comedians a venue to perform during weekdays.
For those who’d like to try their hand at humour, Comedy Café is open everyday from 6pm to 11pm. Sugar Sammy will perform on January 31. Mike Batayeh and Peter the Persian will perform on Feb 7; and Aaron Kader will be back on stage on Feb 14.
