The completion of the Fuheis Rock Climbing Competition 2010

In a never before seen experience at the city of Fuheis, the first rock climbing competition in Jordan was organized gathering all kinds of sports enthusiasts in what was described as an entertaining, action-filled and interactive activity, among the rare sports initiatives in the Middle East
The competition came in line with a vision to pave the way for the formation of a Jordanian mountaineering federation. Mr. Sharaf Kilani, owner of Climbat Amman, the first Indoor Climbing Centre in the Middle East that is soon to open in July of 2010, stated ; ‘The formation of a Jordan Mountaineering Federation aims to put a correct governing body for mountaineering sports so that they can develop and be practiced in the safest manner possible’.
The Jordan Mountaineering Federation will gather under its umbrella all the necessary issues relating to sports such as Hiking, Trekking, Climbing, Camping and Canyoning.
