conference to get thinkers, businessmen and pioneers under one roof
Hundreds of people are expected to attend Fikr6: Arab Strategies for the Global Era conference to take place at Bahrain’s Ritz Carlton Hotel, next week.
The three-day event, which will have scores of Arab scholars, entrepreneurs and strategic thinkers meeting under one roof to exchange ideas and share experiences that face the region, will kick off on Saturday (dec 1).
Te event hosted for the sixth year by Arab Thought Foundation a non-profit organisation, whose aim is to promote the unique culture and values of the Arab people, is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
“The elite speakers and panels at the event will discuss major challenges facing businesses and societies worldwide and specifically in our Arab region” says event executive director Hamad Al Ammari.
Key speakers for Fikr6, include Saudi Aramco president and cief executive officer Abdullah Jumah, Central Bank of Bahrain governor Rashid Al Maraj, Al Watan Newspaper (Saudi Arabia) editor-in-chief Jamal Khashoggie and scores more.
Registration for the event will take place from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, at the hotel and all day Saturday.
“On Saturday we will have a number of workshops going on on various topics of interest,” says Mr Ammari.
“And on Sunday and Monday the speakers will present their papers and attendants will be able to have open discussions on issues that are on the agenda and those of interest to them.”
He said the foundation aimed to foster information between Arab leader and thinkers and their non-Arab counterparts to deepen the understandings and strengthen mutual respect.
