Congress solutions international gears up for global travel & tourism summit in Dubai
As the 8th Global Travel & Tourism Summit readies to move to Dubai next month, Congress Solutions International (CSI), the official summit co-ordinator, is putting the finishing touches to what will soon be a memorable experience for the highest level gathering of the world’s travel and tourism leaders.
The Global Travel & Tourism Summit, a World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) initiative, will take place in Dubai from 20th to 22nd April at the Madinat Jumeirah. The summit is the industry's most high-profile event that attracts Chief Executives, Chairmen and Presidents of the world's foremost travel and tourism companies as well as senior government officials and influential media from around the globe. The event provides a unique platform for discussion between the leading public and private sector decision makers who will shape the future of one of the world's largest industries – Travel & Tourism.
The Dubai summit will focus the industry’s attention to three global issues: Preserving the world’s natural and cultural assets; Travel & Tourism’s role in generating employment and wealth; and Harnessing growth.
Frederic Bardin, Senior Vice President, Congress Solutions International noted: “Dubai is one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism hubs, making it a fitting location for us to frame the significant issues facing our industry. As a major, world-class city that is strategically located at the crossroads of East and West, Dubai can be easily accessed from any point in the world and hence is an ideal venue to host the summit.”
“Congress Solutions International is committed to offering the delegates a high level of service and to making their visit to Dubai a productive and enjoyable one. Our dynamic teams are working round the clock to ensure a smooth and seamless summit.”
Bearing testimony to its broad portfolio of services, the congress organiser is currently creating partnership packages and securing sponsors for the event, contracting local suppliers for production, publicity and technical requirements, finalising conference and accommodation venues, planning the entertainment programmes, tours and excursions, finalising transportation, visa and other such logistical preparations.
Frederic added: “Hosting the Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Dubai will allow CSI to strengthen its reputation as the leading Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) in the Middle East region. The logistical complexity of the event and the ingenuity and creativity required to please 800 CEOs of leading travel and tourism companies, dignitaries and heads of states poses a big challenge. Armed with a fresh approach, long-term planning, and expertise to undertake local and international events, I am confident our team will exceed the organiser’s requirements.”
“For CSI, the Global Travel and Tourism Summit organisation is yet another business drawn from the international association market. 2008 is a big year for us, and as it unfolds, we expect to secure more congress assignments in the UAE and across the world".
The Dubai summit will represent the world’s most exemplary public - private partnership in the Travel & Tourism industry. This international effort of partners is led by WTTC and the Summit Patrons comprising Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Emirates, Jumeirah Group and Nakheel.
