The World Bank approved last month a new Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) plan for its future co-operation with Morocco during 2005 to 2009. The new strategy, which was approved unanimously by the World Bank Board of Directors, defines the main axes of the kingdom's development program, on which the Moroccan government, the World Bank and various other actors, taking part in the development of Morocco, will work in partnership.
EMarrakech reports that the new strategy of the World Bank targets its economic and social development priorities based on their contribution to the reduction of poverty and human development in the country.
