Creative Technology Ltd, a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products, today introduced the best Creative Live!® Cam webcam range to date with advanced technology, unsurpassed image quality and winning features. The new Creative Live! Cam series webcams raise the bar with significant improvements in key technologies, sleek designs, new packaging as well as more software bundling.
Creative has also bundled three new software applications that are set to change the way people use webcams.
Creative Live! Cam Avatar is an innovative piece of software that allows users to substitute their own image with that of available 3D avatars. The 3D avatars can mimic lip movements by detecting voice signals captured through the webcam’s integrated microphone and will even respond to the users’ movements for added realism. Users can even add emotions to them!
Users can create their very own 3D avatars in three simple steps with the complementary Creative Live! Cam Avatar Creator that uses the digital frontal image of anyone or anything with a pair of eyes and a mouth.
Creative Live! Cam FaceSecure uses its facial recognition software engine to authenticate a user during Windows login, instead of the usual Windows password prompt. This login process is quicker and more convenient, especially for multiple users who share a common PC. Existing users of Creative Live! Cam Optia and Creative Live! Cam Optia AF can download the FaceSecure software from the Creative website.
Parents will also be pleased to know that all the webcams in the new Creative Live! Cam series have been fitted with the Parental Control feature that allows the webcam to be locked through a password, preventing any unauthorised usage.
