His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, has signed a strategic partnership agreement on behalf of the Ajman Development and Investment Authority with Oxford Business Group (OBG), the UK-based publishing, research and consultancy services organization, which is to publish The Report: Emerging Ajman 2007, its first annual publication profiling the emirate.
Bebhinn Kelly, OBG Director for the Northern Emirates, said: “We are delighted to be working closely with the His Highness the Crown Prince for our new publication as we map the transition Ajman is making under his wise guidance, and outline the areas of interest to foreign direct investment.
“The Ajman Development and Investment Authority, the government body behind the development of the emirate, is also the perfect partner to provide our locally based international analysts with vital guidance and information on the flow of changes which are rapidly transforming the political and economic landscape.
“The partnership will be particularly vital in evaluating the reforms which are affecting the modes of business operations here.”
The Report: Emerging Ajman is to be the first comprehensive English language guide to Ajman, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, political landscape and sectoral developments, and features a series of interviews with key government officials and businessmen.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality, underlines the
emirate’s main priority, which is the creation of more investment opportunities in the industry and service sectors, the expansion of tourism, and the high level of growth of the real estate sector.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, General Manager, Ajman Free Zone (AFZ), said its objective was “to sustain the national economy with many activities and economic factors from within and outside the State, to grant investors and foreign businessmen more opportunities and investment options.”
Rami Dabbas, Head of Real Estate Development for the Ajman Development and Investment Authority, focuses on the emirate’s burgeoning real estate sector, pointing out that that the emirate’s secret of sustainable growth is ensuring real estate investments are compatible and that Ajman intends to become a niche residential and tourism destination “by creating projects that are unique and conceptual to the crowded UAE market.....It is also important to keep the city authentic and make Ajman a destination by putting it on the world map.”
The Report: Emerging Ajman 2007, which will be available in print form or online, is part of the range of OBG’s publications, which are renowned as leading sources of information on developing and emerging economies around the world.
