An itinerant clover vendor was beaten to death this week when he clashed with a customer over a bundle of the greens, said the Cairo-based daily Al Gomhuriyya.
The report said that the customer habitually paid the elderly victim one pound for five bunches of clover each day.
On the day of the crime, the buyer allegedly beat the clover vendor to death upon finding that he had been shorted a bunch.
The suspect, when arrested, said the 60-year-old vendor had insulted him, adding that he had continued hitting the old man to reclaim his honor, without knowing that his victim might die - Albawaba.com
